Homeschool KIDS Group FAQ:
Our annual membership is $5. These dues help cover our website, and larger group events like field days and parties.
We ask that all trial members
attend at least one event during their trial period to qualify for annual membership.
Once enrolled, we do expect
members to attend events from time to time. Showing up now and then helps keep the momentum going and makes all these great events possible!
We routinely remove inactive accounts, as well as those at the end of their free trial, to help keep our community active, protect member privacy, and avoid surprise dues renewals.
You’re always welcome to request to rejoin when you’re ready to actively participate. Rejoin requests are considered based on group capacity and overall fit.
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your RSVP. Many of our events require planning and coordination in advance, so this helps us keep things running smoothly and allows for waitlisted families to attend!
HSKG is a vibrant community where we host events almost every day! Most of our homeschooling activities happen in the Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, and Raleigh areas. We also love exploring North Carolina and sometimes organize exciting trips to various places around the state!
No, all events require a parent or guardian to be present unless otherwise specified.
Our events are a mix of opportunities created by our volunteer Lead Team and members who enjoy hosting events for the group. If you enjoy hosting, feel free to reach out to a Lead Team member and we’ll be happy to help you get started!
Photos taken at official HSKG events may be shared in our private Heylo albums or occasionally on our public pages (website, Facebook, and Vimeo). We make every effort to respect member privacy and typically avoid posting identifiable photos of children, but there may be times where something is shared unintentionally. If you prefer that your child not be included in any photos, please let a lead team member know and we will always honor that.
Nope! You're welcome to join us even if you're just exploring homeschooling or planning a move to the area. If you plan to homeschool full-time, you'll need to register with the state of North Carolina. You can find details here.
